VICE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – POWER TRANSMISSION PROJECTS – SAUDI ARABIA

Our client is a leading Electrical Contracting Company with their Head Office located in Riyadh City – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.   Our client’s major activity is Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Lighting, Telecom Networks, Electronic Constructions and Electro- Mechanical Works.  They are currently seeking an Arabic Speaking Vice Business Development Manager for Power Projects.  Candidates should have specific extensive experience in Power Transmission Stations, qualified to degree level and have previous experience working in the Middle East. 

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER – POWER PLANT – SAUDI ARABIA

Our client, International Power and Engineering Consultants, are developing an Independent Power Project (IPP) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is urgently seeking an experienced CONSTRUCTION MANAGER on CCGT power plants. Preferably with some experience gained in Saudi Arabia. Mechanical discipline.
The project provides for the design, engineering, procurement and construction of a power generation plant and associated facilities to be located approximately 125 km to the west of Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The power generation plant and associated facilities will be implemented under a lump sum turnkey EPC contract which is in place between our client and the EPC Contractor.
The power plant will comprise two “Groups”; Group 1 will consist 4 x GE gas turbines in a “4 + 1 “ combined cycle modules; Group 2 consists of 3 x GE gas turbines in a “3 + 1 “ combined cycle module. Air cooled condensers will be provided for the steam turbine cycles.
Group 1 output will be 960 MW net at the Delivery Point, and Group 2 will provide 795.6 MW at the Delivery Point.  The project commenced in early July 2010 and is due for final completion and commercial operation around the end of March 2013.

PROJECT COMMERCIAL MANAGER – SAUDI ARABIA

Our client is an International UK Contractor with offices worldwide and is a Middle East leader in integrated design, engineering and construction disciplines of Civil Contracting, Water & Power Infrastructure and Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP).   Our client is currently involved with a prestigious and iconic building project in Riyadh and is seeking a Project Commercial Manager to head up the commercial department, managing of QS personnel (expat and local staff), responsible for payments and cost completion and future commercial development.  Candidates should be professionally qualified, from previous International Contracting background working on major construction projects, preferably with previous Saudi Arabia or Gulf working experience.  We are looking for a pro-active, hands on individual who can carry out fast-track work in progress with frequent visits to site.

SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR - QS  – SAUDI ARABIA

Our client is an International UK Contractor with offices worldwide and is a Middle East leader in integrated design, engineering and construction disciplines of Civil Contracting, Water & Power Infrastructure and Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP).   Our client is currently involved with a prestigious and iconic building project in Riyadh and is seeking a Senior Quantity Survey responsible for valuation accounts, change orders, instructions, measurements etc.  Candidates should be professionally qualified, from previous International Contracting background working on major construction projects, preferably with previous Saudi Arabia or Gulf working experience.  We are looking for a pro-active, hands on individual who can carry out fast-track work in progress with frequent visits to site.

PRINCIPAL PROCESS ENGINEER (CCS) – BRIGHTON, UNITED KINGDOM:

Our client is a leading International Power and Engineering Consultant with offices in the UK and Worldwide.  The Thermal & Renewables Division of the Power Unit presently requires a new principal CARBON CAPTURE ENGINEER with good industry experience to work within their team to deliver specific projects or sub-projects. You would also be required to act as a Senior Project Manager.

The successful candidate will work in interdisciplinary project teams on a range of assignments covering carbon capture and storage (CCS) on coal, gas-fired, coal gasification (IGCC plants) and capture-ready plants. You will have the opportunity to share technical expertise within your team and across other disciplines. You will draw on analytical skills and practical experience to undertake technical due diligence, concept and feasibility studies within multi-disciplinary project teams.

Specific duties will be tailored to the project requirements but the summary of responsibilities will be:

To act as a technical lead and/or project manager for the delivery of our obligations and internal project performance;

To work under your own initiative and as a CCS and /or gasification specialist within a multi-disciplined team of engineers;

To work with clients and contractors in achieving a technical solution;

Successful delivery of projects to time, quality and budget;

Contribute to open communications across the project delivery, client and stakeholder teams;

Contribute to securing opportunity and repeat business through the high quality of your service delivery;

To follow CCS market developments.

 The ideal applicant will have a degree in either chemical or process engineering and extensive relevant experience ideally with one or more of the following:

Technical capability in thermal power generation, knowledge of thermal power generation technologies and processes;

In depth knowledge of CCS technologies;

Relevant experience in power generation, coal gasification - IGCC, amine gas separation process;

Project management experience;

Commercial awareness.

The persons appointed should be self motivated and with the ability to lead a team of qualified and experienced engineers. The appointees will have an excellent command of written and spoken English and the ability to communicate effectively in terms of gathering and disseminating information at meetings and conferences.

Dependent upon experience they may be required to deputise for the senior project manager.

The successful candidate will work in interdisciplinary project teams on a range of assignments covering carbon capture and storage (CCS) on coal, gas-fired, coal gasification (IGCC plants) and capture-ready plants with the opportunity to grow and share technical expertise within your team and across other disciplines. You will draw on analytical skills and practical experience to provide technical opinions and technology assessments, to develop specifications and to undertake technical due diligence and feasibility studies within multi-disciplinary project teams.
