They are currently building a speciality CHEMICAL PLANT in Gujarat, India for the production of Polymers and are seeking to recruit a MECHANICAL OR CHEMICAL ENGINEER to reinforce their construction team; to control the contractors for erection platform, mechanical, equipment installation, piping electricity and instrumentation within a team of 5-6 engineers.

PROJECT ASSISTANT ENGINEER – CHEMICAL PLANT CONSTRUCTION - INDIA

Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the construction of chemical, plastics, oil plants etc. preferably having previously worked in the Middle East, ie. Oman, UAE etc.   Fluent in English and Guajarati language is a bonus. 

Duties & Responsibilities:-
* Reports to the Project Manager.
* Interfaces with the contractors in all engineering matters.* Manages engineering activities, including the coordination between disciplines.
* Ensures the quality and compliance with schedule of all engineering activities and deliverables.* Ensures design and construction with specifications applicable, standards and HSE. * Verifies cost of the project against budget.
* Participates to the Hazop reviews and subsequent actions required form different engineering disciplines.
*  Assists the Project Manager in the preparation of progress reports.*  Advises the Project Manager on corrective actions.
*  Identifies and supervises the evaluation of the cost of scope changes.

They are currently seeking a Director for Global Engineering Maintenance to be based at their HQ in Manila, Philippines.  The role will also involve worldwide travel to the Group’s Subsidiaries.   

Role Description:

The Director, Global Engineering Maintenance plans for and directs the development and preparation of programs, processes, plans, specifications, special studies and cost estimates for the Port’s capital improvement and major maintenance and repair projects.

I.    Essential Functions: 
·         Directs the preparation of plans, specifications, designs, estimates and schedules for capital improvement and major maintenance and repair projects. ·         Monitor progress of capital improvement and major maintenance and repair projects in the field.
·         Evaluate the level of service provided as a basis for making improvements to productivity, cost effectiveness and periodic progress payments.
·         Evaluate work methods and procedures, staffing, scheduling practices, productivity and costs.
 ·         Develops and/or reviews policies, procedures and programs, identifies and resolves issues, and develops compliance and implementation strategies which affect the development of capital improvement plans, major maintenance of Port infrastructure and environmental compliance activity.
·         Ensure all equipment and materials and procedures utilized during all the engineering functions are suitable, safe and in accordance with relevant standards and company requirements.
·         Maintains and improves the Port’s preventative maintenance program, including developing and monitoring maintenance plans and related documentation systems.
·         Lead the Maintenance Transformation process in all Client’s Terminals. Promoting the best practices and continues improvement in the industry. ·         Develop and establish sustainable maintenance minimum standards for equipment and facilities.
 ·         Develop and establish minimum standards for Inventories Administration.
 ·         Develop and rollout the Company’s Capability Building Center.
 ·         Conduct annual audits on maintenance and inventory processes at all Terminals within the group.
·         Complete any other nominated tasks as requested by the VP Engineering or company directors. 

II.    Job Requirements and Competencies  
a.    Skills and Abilities:

b.    Knowledge and Experience:
 ·         Familiarity and detailed knowledge of port infrastructure considered an advantage.
·         Experience leading RCM and 5S processes is definitely an advantage.

SHIFT OPERATIONS MANAGER – POWER & WATER PRODUCTION PLANT – UAE 
Our client is responsible for the Operations and Maintenance of a Power & Water Desalination Production Plant located in Abu Dhabi, UAE.  They are currently seeking Day Shift Operations Manager reporting to the Operations Director.
The Main Responsibilities are:-

Ensure the staff (nationals and Expats) during the shift follows Company HSE practice.
Coach shift managers to better their involvement and ownership on plant actitivies.
Improve nationals and expats plant operation experience through practical start-ups, shut downs and troubleshooting, RCA. 
Adhering with Operations Excellence and performance programs.Ensure that nationals are engaged in operations activities at all times.
Monitor national staff participation and counsel those which are not meeting the minimum attendance.
Ensure all decisions are risk assessed and make business sense.Promote cross training among the operations staff
Promote staff theoretical and on job training to satisfy operations staff succession plan.  
Individual Responsibilities:-
Can hold a Senior Authorised Person for PTW.
Understand the Emergency Response Plant as well as the Business Continuity Plan.
Appropriate charge handing over and taking over thorough gap analysis.
Can read all electrical single line drawings.Understands the electrical switching interlocks.
Can make switching plans and get them actioned by control room engineers.Knows the emergency procedures including black out procedure, environmental or safety emergency procedures.
Can read off the P&IDs of all the Plant.Experience working with CMMS (Maximo is an asset).
Understanding of plant control logic.Responsible for ensuring correct condition monitoring of plant equipment and help ops staff to take corrective actions.
Able to analyse the plant upset/trip reasons.Conversant with plant operating procedures.
Responsible for ensuring start up and shut down of plant equipment as per approved procedures.
Responsible to ensure PTW activities are carried out correctly.
Responsible to communicate with Load Dispatch Centre in a professional way.
Responsible to communicate with Planning & Maintenance personnel regarding plant issues.
Responsible to ensure completion of JBTs and Refresher JBTs for staff.
Be a mentor to the operations staff.
Good relationships with colleagues.Impartial in dealing with the staffWell versed and compliant with all standing instructions.Complies with all health, safety and environmental rules.
Identify control measures required to reduce or eliminate the identified hazard and risks to an acceptable level.Responsible for ensuring risk assessments of the plant are to be carried out.
Ensure Personal protective equipments (PPE) are used by all personnel’s working on site as a means to achieve safety.
Ensure special PTWs like confined space, hot permits, excavation, etc. are implemented perfectly.
Write reports related to Accidents, incidents, near miss and investigate in details.Carryout Safety induction training.Ensure IRLT is implemented while issuing the PTW and Safety rules are followed.  
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.    Guides and coaches the staff in all operational activities
2.    Ensures communication is carried out only in English  

Candidate Specification:

Degree in Engineering or equivalent training and experience
10 or more years’ operation experience in a large power plant with multiple technologies 2000MW or larger, either conventional and/or large combined cycle.
Multicultural experience will be an asset.

An international power operations / Maintenance company are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Manager to join the maintenance team at a CFB Coal Fired Power Plant on the border of South Africa.  
Duties & Responsibilities:-
Compilation of maintenance planning and respective procedures

Control of maintenance measures

Preparation and control of job orders for third party service providers

These mainly involves applications support, data network support, servers support, telephone system support and end users support by:  Maintaining system reliability, i.e. uptime kept to the maximum through system monitoring, data back-ups and regular hardware/software maintenance,  Ensuring all systems and networks are always available,  Administration of the servers, databases and networks, and  Maintaining all IT systems (hardware, software and networking systems.

The plant utilizes Heavy Fuel Oil to generate the electrical power and desalination is undertaken with Reverse Osmosis.   We are seeking to recruit a Manager of Projects (Maintenance) to:-
 -          Manage engineering, improvement and implementation projects related to the IWSPP
-          Manage/action major changes to plant and processes (MOC)
-          Plan and lead all activities relating to total planned facility shut down (T&I) -          Provide expert level project support to other departments as needed -          Manage and execute major plant operational CAPEX items
